The Commuter, spinning wheel, mixed media, 2026
Labelled The Commuter, this sculpture presents quick construction and found objects to point to the accessibility and simplicity of spinning wheels and how long they have existed. Uses hand processed and spun wool. The work takes on a percussive element when enacted, through the use of spoke beads, lending the sculpture to becoming a quasi instrument-machine.
